A major accident involving an aeroplane at Dublin ­Airport was narrowly averted, sparking an internal investigation by the airline at the centre of the incident.

On Monday, February 12, a Lufthansa flight bound for Frankfurt in Germany was involved in a collision while on the ground preparing for take-off, prompting its cancellation midway through passenger embarkation.
