Mutahi Kagwe, former Health CS, was compelled to ditch the helicopter while on official duty in Kericho county in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CS was forced to descend after the pilot made multiple unsuccessful efforts to start the helicopter.
Kagwe was supposed to fly Kagwe and Health Director General Patrick Amoth back to Nairobi but failed to take off.
He was later obliged to return to Nairobi in his official automobile.
In February this year, the same chopper made an emergency landing in Gatunguru Village, Mathioya, Murang’a county.
