For those who don’t know, right next to Heathrow Airport is Myrtle Avenue, a special spot where plane lovers gather to watch the planes fly by.
It’s a bit loud because of all the planes, but that’s what makes it exciting – if you haven’t been here before, it’s the perfect place to take children to see the aeroplanes and it’s also kind of a hidden spot.
People from all over the world come here with their cameras to see the planes up close.
There’s a big grass verge at the end of the road, right opposite one of the Heathrow Airport runway, where everyone can sit and enjoy the view right under the planes – bring a picnic!
Getting there is easy – just take the Piccadilly line to Hatton Cross station or pop Myrtle Avenue in your sat nav. Sometimes, when a brand-new plane comes to Heathrow, lots of people come to watch, not just the regular plane spotters.
So, if you love planes, Myrtle Avenue is the perfect spot to see them fly by. Make sure you share your videos in our Facebook group if you head to try them out.
