Christmas arrived early on a recent LIFT flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town, thanks to the Walt Disney Company Africa’s #MayYourWishesComeTrue campaign, which kicked off the holiday season for dozens of children. A special surprise-and-delight activation took place aboard the Disney-inspired LIFT aeroplane to spread the joy.

Over 150 passengers flying from Johannesburg to Cape Town were greeted by ‘Wish Agents’ at their boarding gate at OR Tambo International Airport on December 1st, with each child asked what their Christmas wish was.
The young passengers boarded flight GE123 with their wishes adorning a special Disney-inspired Christmas tree, unaware that their wishes would be fulfilled just two hours later.

Behind the scenes, the requests were communicated to Disney’s Wish Agents stationed at Canal Walk Shopping Centre in Cape Town, who swung into action to shop for the passengers, wrap the gifts, and transport them to Cape Town International Airport in time for them to disembark.
All of the requested wishes were granted, including bicycles, ‘Disney Princess The Little Mermaid’ figurines, Lego® sets, and even Spider-man Sony PlayStation 5’s, as passengers disembarked the plane and entered the specially-branded walkway to meet the Wish Agents.
In addition, each traveller received a Disney Mickey plush and a Disney+ subscription.
